Pop Star Max Sarre Returns to SwanFest
Get ready, SwanFest fans! Guess who’s back? It’s one of our favourite artists, the big pop star, Max Sarre! Max has been coming to SwanFest for years now and he’s grown to have a massive following of 65,000!
Max was polite enough to reply to every single question I threw at him. He gave so much useful information about how he went from writing songs at home to performing live - if you’re thinking about a career in music, then you’ll honestly want to keep reading.
From Singing at Five to Writing Songs in Lockdown!
Max has been passionate about music since he was super little. He figured out he could sing when he was just five years old.
"Yes, I’ve always had a passion for music since I was as young as I can remember," Max said. "I used to sing at home for my family and it kind of just got more common after that - I’d sing at weddings, churches, school bands, things like that."

He knew since he was about 11 or 12 that he wanted to do music for his career. But his dream really took off because of the 2020 lockdown. "Once Covid happened it gave me the chance to actually sit down, because there was no school, and write my first song which I wanted to do for so long - the rest is kind of history," Max told us.
Pop Music is "His Thing"

Max’s signature style is definitely pop music, but he likes other stuff too, which is cool. "My favourite genre of music will have to always be pop music, closely followed by rap and R&B, but I make pop music. That’s kind of like, my thing," he shared.
Performing for big crowds must be terrifying, but Max doesn’t get frightened anymore! He had to learn how to deal with it when he was younger, though.
"When I first started, I would just have to take deep breaths, breathe in a certain scent like a lavender smell before shows - it always calms me down," he explained.
When we asked about who inspires him to be a pop star, he named Justin Bieber and Charlie Puth! He says they’re perfect because they have "more than just the music. They have the look, the image, the live performance and the writing. Everything about it is popstar perfect to me and that’s what I enjoy."
Dream Big: The O2 Arena and What You Need to Know
Max has some huge goals, like becoming a "big popstar" and performing at the O2 Arena in London, which he said would be "the best day of my entire life." He’s even on tour right now supporting Gareth Gates!
For anyone who wants to follow in his footsteps, Max has some seriously brilliant advice.
He told us: "Consistency is key. You are going to get so many “no”s before people start even looking at you. Just keep working on your craft, keep doing you and be yourself. You will get there through hard work and consistency."

Come See Him Live this Summer!
Max promises his set this summer will be so much fun and interactive too! He’s going to play covers everyone will know as well as a bunch of his original music that will get everyone on their feet.
"I always love coming to Swanfest. This year will be the best yet!" Max promised.
Honestly, if you’re even thinking about what to do this summer, just go to SwanFest! Max Sarre’s music is brilliant, and seeing him live is a just amazing - a very different experience compared to just hearing his songs through headphones. SwanFest already brings out the good vibes, and having Max Sarre there just makes it even better. Don't miss out on your chance to see this incredible star perform.
